Are you craving Pho? There is nothing like a hot & fresh bowl of Pho to satisfy your hunger… and a great way to cure your worst hangover. Either way many Asians will agree that a bowl of hot pho will start your day off on a good and satisfying note. But the debate still remains, is pho pronounced FOE or FUH? Whatever it is, it still sounds funny and tastes good either way.
Here are some of the best places to eat pho in Chicago to satisfy your pho fix.
Pho XE LUA aka “Tank Noodles”

Located in a prime location on the south-east corner of Western Ave & Argyle St., this is one of the most popular places to eat Pho. Their portions are huge and their Pho is pretty darn good.
Pho 888
1137 W Argyle St., Chicago, IL 60640
(773) 907-8838
Some say that their pho is the closest to the real thing that you can find in Chicago. What do you think?
Pho 9 & Shabu
9054 W Golf Rd Niles, IL 60714
(847) 297-5466
Decent pho is hard to find outside of Vietnamese town. I’ve had my share of various restaurants in the suburbs that serve pho, usually Korean owned, and Pho 9 has be one of the better that I have found. Yes, they are Korean owned, they do also serve shabu-shabu, and their service won’t win any awards but as long as you keep that in mind, they pho I’d say is one of the best available in the suburbs if you can’t make it out to Argyle.
Dung Gia
1436 Miner St Des Plaines, IL 60016
(847) 803-4402
Another solid pho option in the suburbs, Dung Gia is run by the same owners of Annam Restaurant of Evanston whom have moved their business to Des Plaines. They offer a full Vietnamese menu and is a BYOB establishment. So you’ll either come here to get hungover, or to cure one. Lovely.
